Pay Online or by Phone

The City of Danville provides residents with two quick and easy ways to make tax and utility bill payments by credit card or electronic check. Through Paymentus Corporation, a third party secure payment service, we can accept payments online and over the phone 24 hours a day, seven days a week. VISA, MasterCard and Discover are accepted. A convenience fee will apply for this service.

Online Payment
Click on the Pay Now button and you will be transferred to a secure web page powered by our bill payment partner, Paymentus.
  • You will enter the payment information including your utilities account and customer number, or Parcel ID (real estate) and account number for tax payments, credit card details and payment amount.
  • You will also be asked to confirm to pay a convenience fee.
  • Once all the information is entered, click on “Make Payment.”
  • You will be provided with a confirmation number if the transaction is successful.
Please Note: Payments are not immediately received. Payments typically take 2-3 business days to post to your account. If you are paying within 5 days of the final due date, you must contact Central Collections at 434-799-5125 and provide your payment confirmation number. Failure to contact Central Collections may result in loss of service, delinquent fees, and/or reconnect fees.

Telephone Payment
Dial 1-888-918-1140 and you will be linked to a secure automated telephone payment system, powered by our bill payment partner, Paymentus.
  • You will enter the payment information including your utilities account and customer number, or Parcel ID (real estate) and account number for tax payments, credit card details and payment amount.
  • You will be prompted to confirm that you have agreed to pay a convenience fee.
  • Then you will be provided with a confirmation number if the transaction is successful.
