The Danville Science Center
Known for making science fun for all ages, the Danville Science Center offers hands-on exhibits and special programs. Visitors can explore aspects of science in everyday life and beyond. As a part of the Science Museums of Virginia network, Danville Science Center includes one of only a few butterfly greenhouses. Visit the Butterfly Station and Garden between April and October to meet some rare and gentle friends.

The Estelle H. Womack Natural History Collection
A special part of the Science Center is the Estelle H. Womack Natural History Collection. The exhibit includes natural history objects donated by local residents over the years. You’ll find it in the Science Station, which also serves as the local Amtrak station.

The Amtrak Crescent
Visitors can travel the Amtrack Crescent from Danville to New York or New Orleans – and all points in between. For more information, contact your travel agent, click on www.Amtrak.com , or call 1-800-US-RAIL.

The Pepsi Building
Located at the center of the Crossing, the Pepsi Building has experienced numerous transformations, from a brewery to a recycling center, to a storage facility. The building experienced a complete renovation, with help from the Pepsi-Cola Company, in 1996. Today, it is used for a variety of public meetings, special events, and recreation programs. The basement of the building provides public restroom facilities for the adjacent Carrington Pavilion.

Facilities at the Crossing at the Dan can be rented for special events, small or large. For more information, Contact the Danville Community Market at 434-797-8961.
