Loose Leaf Collection

The season for loose leaf collection is October 1 to January 31 each year. Loose leaves are collected on the same day as the scheduled yard waste pick up, as volume of leaves allows. During peak leaf fall, crews from Street Maintenance, Grounds Maintenance, and the Adult Detention Center are utilized. An average of 2,500 tons of leaves are collected and disposed of at the compost/mulch facility during leaf collection season.

  • Loose leaf vacuuming collection begins October 1 and ends January 31
  • Leaves should be raked to the curb or in front of the property line
  • Do not mix sticks, bottles, rocks, or other debris in leaf piles
  • Please do not block storm gutters or ditches with leaf piles

Additional information can be found on this convenient flyer (guidelines).
