Whether your family is interested in reserving a facility for a child's birthday party, family reunion, or a baby shower, Danville Parks and Recreation can accommodate your needs with one of its five recreation centers located throughout the city.

Ballou Recreation Center 760 West Main Street
Located in the heart of historic Ballou Park, Ballou Recreation Center is available for rent for public and private events. The downstairs portion of the building is perfect for birthday parties, family gatherings, reunions, wedding parties, and receptions. Upstairs, also known as Ballou Nature Center, is often used for workshops, small training sessions and conferences, luncheons, and group meetings. The building is handicap accessible.   • Downstairs - $400 for a four-hour minimum; $100 each additional hour
  • Upstairs - $275 for a four-hour minimum; $65 each additional hour

City Auditorium - 125 N. Floyd Street The City Auditorium is located at the corner of Spring and Floyd Streets in downtown Danville and houses a 1,400-seat auditorium, conference room, and regulation-size gymnasium. Call (434) 857-3384.

  • Auditorium - $450 for a four-hour minimum; $110 each additional hour

Coates Recreation Center - 725 Westover Drive
Glenwood Recreation Center - 1550 Halifax Road 

Both Coates and Glenwood feature a small gymnasium, classroom, and kitchenette and are perfect for family reunions, receptions, and birthday parties. Call (434) 857-3384.

Camp Grove Recreation Center - 119 Bradley Road
Located in North Danville, Camp Grove Recreation Center is separated into two facilities; upstairs and down. The upstairs portion of the building includes a commercial-grade kitchen and multipurpose room while the downstairs includes a large room that can be converted into a gathering space or a basketball court. Downstairs also includes a stage area. Both facilities boast a capacity of 150 persons.
