Patriot Challenge: Anglers Park, race starts at 8 a.m.

July 4 Celebration: Carrington Pavilion, gates open at 6 p.m. 

Danville’s annual Fourth of July Celebration is full of fun events and ending with everyone’s favorite - fireworks at the Carrington Pavilion!

6 p.m. - Gates open
7:20 p.m. - Opening Remarks from the Mayor
7:30 p.m. - Ace Party Band performs
Dusk - Fireworks (weather permitting)

Important Fireworks Information

  • Fireworks will be detonated from Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Bridge (Main Street Bridge)
  • The southbound lane (closest to the YMCA) will close at 1 p.m.
  • The northbound lane will close at 8 p.m.
  • Motorists can access the Crossing at the Dan and River District via Union Street Bridge and/or Industrial Avenue off of Danville Expressway
  • Please obey all signs
  • The train trestle pedestrian bridge at the Crossing will close at 9 p.m.
  • Please do not bring your dogs to the Crossing
