Community Holiday Light Show
December 7 - 23, 2023 in Ballou Park (760 West Main Street)
Daily 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Admission to the show is $10/car and $20/mini-bus/15 passenger van. Cash and credit cards will be accepted onsite. Tickets are not available prior to arriving at the show.
Best in Show Vote - Each builder designates a non-profit that they decorate their spot for. Each vehicle that drives through the show receives one ballot. At the end of the route the ballot is turned in. Displays that place in the Best in Show votes receive money donated to their non-profit.
Display Builders - Thank you to all the wonderful builders that have entered a display in the 2023 Community Holiday Light Show! When you arrive at the show you will receive a map of all the builders and what non-profit they are building for.

Volunteer Gate Workers - The schedule for the 2023 Volunteer Gate Workers is below. A portion of each vehicles entry fee goes to the group working the gate that night.

Children's Village - Visit Children's Village inside Ballou Recreation Center during the hours of the show. Children's Village includes free pictures with Santa, train model display, hot chocolate, and more! Pictures with Santa will be upstairs and the other activities will be downstairs. Every night will include pictures with Santa, cookies, hot chocolate, activities, and crafts. Certain nights will have specialty activities:
December 7 - Snowman Painting Class, $40 fee, ages 16 and over. Call (434) 857-3384 to register.
December 8 - Mrs. Claus will be interacting with the families downstairs, free activity.
December 12 - Sensory night, open to all ages, free activity.
December 14 - Sugar cookie decorating, free activity.
December 17 - Caricatures, Santa will be included in your family's caricature, free activity.
December 18 - S'mores night, the fire pit will be outside of Children's Village for s'mores roasting, free activity.
December 19 - Tiny Tribe toddler play area will be set up inside Children's Village for ages 4 and under to play.
In 2022 a total of $17,710 was donated back to the community between the gate workers and the Best in Show contest.11,200 people attended in 3,160 cars and 21 buses. Over 300 volunteers helped make this event a success! Thank you to all of the visitors, volunteers, and builders that contributed to this event!
