Starting January 2021, Danville Public Library and Danville Public Schools put into effect the Student Access Program they developed to give all students, faculty, and staff associated with the school system access to public library materials, online databases, and streaming services.

Students of Danville Public Schools may use their school ID to place holds on and check out materials from the Danville Public Library. They may choose to pick up their borrowed materials either at their school or at the Ruby B. Archie library location.

Students, teachers, and faculty of Danville Public Schools can use their student ID number to access in-house and online library materials.

Books can be placed on hold, delivered, and returned to the students' school.
Access to the library's main catalog can be found under 'Quick Links' above.
Younger students may prefer to search the library's print collection using the Kid's Catalog.

With their student ID number, students, teachers, and faculty can not only check out books, but also access all library e-resources including e-books, audiobooks, movies, music, and more

The program also gives students, teachers, and faculty access to all Danville Public Library online databases and streaming services including the Hoopla and Libby apps.

Overdrive (Libby): eBooks & Audiobooks
Hoopla: eBooks, Audiobooks, Graphic Novels (Comics), Music, Movies, & TV Shows

Watch this video for more information on using your student card to access Overdrive and Hoopla.
