Danville Storywalk Trail

Storywalk Opening

Visit the trail!

Danville's Storywalk® Trail is located on the original section of the Riverwalk Trail in Dan Daniel Memorial Park. The trail consists of 20 panels that feature panels to a children's book. Visitors to the trail are encouraged to enjoy an iconic section of the Riverwalk Trail and a beautiful vista along the Dan River while reading a new story each month!

Parking is available here. The lot is just a few feet from the first panel. The total walk is less than a quarter mile and is partially shaded.

What are we reading?

This month's book is "Do Not Bring Your Dragon to the Library" by Julie Gassman

Summary:

Have you ever thought about bringing your dragon to the library? Don't do it! You might have the best intentions, but that dragon will cause nothing but trouble. Using rhyming text and a diverse cast of characters, this charming picture book will provide some important--and some not so important--library etiquette in a very entertaining way.
