Responsibilities
The Virginia Constitution created the elected office of Treasurer in 1870. The Treasurer's independent status as an elected official ensures that local funds will be accounted for by an officer who reports directly to the people.
The Treasurer's primary responsibilities include collecting and accounting for revenues for the City of Danville and for the State of Virginia. It is our goal to provide the citizens of Danville with courteous, quality, and professional service.
