See the holiday magic in Ballou Park during the Community Holiday Light Show. The route is filled with displays created by community organizations and businesses. Each display designated a non-profit organization that will receive a monetary donation if the display places in the Top 5 Best in Show votes from visitors.
Children's Village is in the lower level of Ballou Recreation Center. Inside there is hot chocolate, cookies, pictures with Santa, activities and coloring sheets all included in the price of admission.

Register for next week's after school program!
Our program concentrates on three main pillars: education, recreation, and health and wellness. We focus on these pillars by providing homework help, adopting healthy eating habits and participating in physical activities in accordance with the National After School Alliance’s standards. Outcomes are achieved through learning sports, gardening, learning about ourselves, and being motivated to be a positive force in our community. After school programs are available at two sites: Forest Hills and Coates Recreation Center. Transportation is provided from Schoolfield, Park Avenue, and Woodberry. Ages 5-12. Call (434) 799-5150.
