The next outdoor concert of Centra Medical Group’s series of Enchanted Evenings will be held Thursday, July 18, at the main stage in Ballou Park.
Rock music artist Lauren Light and her band will perform. The concert will begin at 6:30 p.m.
Light is a singer-songwriter from Lexington, N.C. She was named 2012 Best Rock Female in the Carolina Music Awards. Her musical style has been compared to a mixture of Katy Perry, Kelly Clarkson and Fiona Apple stirred together. She strives to write lyrics to which people can relate.
Families are encouraged to pack a picnic basket and bring the entire family for a relaxing evening in the park.
The event is free and open to the public. If there is rain, the show will move into the Ballou Park Recreation Center. Enchanted Evenings are held on the third Thursday of every month. The Chris Lane Band will perform its twist to country music on Aug. 15.
