The River District Rhythms at the Market concert series continues on Saturday, Aug. 3, with “Parrott Head Night” featuring B2B, a Jimmy Buffett tribute band from the Richmond area.
B2B also performs a range of music from Charlie Daniels to Kenny Chesney, Toby Keith to Tracy Byrd, the Drifters to Van Morrison and a variety of original tunes. Its performances, however, carry the carefree tropical attitude that Buffett personifies.
The concert will be held in the Community Market parking lot. Gates open at 6 p.m. Admission is $5 per person. Children of age 12 and under are admitted free if accompanied by a paying adult.
The concert is presented by Danville Harvest Jubilee, which this year created River District Rhythms at the Market in response to a survey. The new concert series had its debut on Saturday, May 4, and has featured beach music with Steve Owens & Summertime and disco and funk with The Groove Train.
The final concert date in the series will be Sept. 14 and feature “Bluegrass Night” with The Grass Cats.
