SCIENCE AFTER DARK

Gaze into the vast expanse of the solar system and beyond through the center’s telescopes, glimpsing the strange and beautiful worlds of other planets, moons, galaxies and other distant objects. November’s Science After Dark will take a closer look at the Moon. In December we will experience a “Super Moon.” This perigee moon will appear closer and brighter than other full moons. Weather permitting, the center will be able to take you closer to this natural satellite through the use of telescopes. The featured movie in the Digital Dome Theater will be “Back to the Moon for Good,” with a live sky presentation focusing on future lunar explorations and features. Cost: Members and students with college ID enjoy free admission to Science After Dark; general admission is $5. For more information call the Danville Science Center at (434) 791-5160.
