The Danville Police Department is asking for the community’s assistance to help identify vandals who sprayed graffiti on cars and buildings on and around Averett University.

Around 1:00 a.m. on December 26, surveillance captured images of two individuals walking through Averett’s West Main Street campus who police believe are involved with the vandalism.

The vandals spray-painted graffiti on several buildings and a vehicle belonging to Averett and another vehicle belonging to a neighbor who lives on Woodland Drive.

Police are investigating several other recent incidents of vandalism in that area and are working to determine if they are connected.

In the meantime, we ask that anyone who may recognize the individuals in the surveillance photo(click here for higher resolution image) or who may have information on this case please contact us at 434-793-0000 or use our crime tips app CARE at https://www.p3tips.com/tipform.aspx?ID=818#.
