Shortly after 7:00 am this morning Danville Police, Fire, and EMS personnel responded to the 700 block of Jefferson Street for a report of a vehicle that had struck a house.
The investigation revealed that a 2007 Chevrolet Malibu was traveling east on Stokes Street approaching the intersection of Jefferson Street when the brakes failed. The car continued through the intersection and struck a house that was unoccupied at the time. The vehicle and house both received extensive damage as a result.
Three (3) occupants of the car, including the driver, were transported to Danville Regional Medical Center for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. Terrence Lamart Walden, age 27 of Danville was charged with driving with a suspended license and defective equipment (brakes) as a result. The other occupants, both Danville residents, were 21 years old and 4 years old.
