Instead of using an outside company for utility bill payments could this be integrated into the City Government webpage? The surcharge and service from the company is not very good IMO. Free (or a lower fee) for online payment of Utilities and Property Taxes would give the citizens more accessibly to pay their bills online than the current service offered.

A small music/entertainment venue would be a great addition downtown and the Danville arts scene.

Jackie's wigs has been there forever but the store front makes downtown ugly. They need to get the fake heads out of the window. Bring in a small fun sports bar for some night life. Also a nice apartment building that's not section 8 and has amenities and a rent price that would draw young professionals in and maybe some students as well. We have a nice college in our town! We need to use that to our advantage. The apartments that are downtown now are way overpriced for what they include...you can find much nicer apartments else where. Danville seriously needs to step up and get out of the 60s when it comes to some of there old ideas about the city and what we do here.

I would like to see the low cost construction of one or more outdoor sand volleyball courts within the park system. Dan Daniel Park in my mind would be the obvious choice for the location. Courts would include a sand base consisting of a twelve inch thick layer clean white sand for play as well as permanent outdoor nets with supporting posts being well beyond the boundary lines of the court area for safety purposes. Court could be bordered with permanently secured recycled fire hose for court lines. Also preferred, but not critical would be the need for an official's stand at one of the supporting posts. Net height should probably be at the women's official height of seven feet, four and one eighth inches measured from evenly raked sand so that both women and men could comfortably make use of the facility.
This idea stems from seeing similar set ups in nearby cities along with the fact that local players may have to experience an absence of play during certain times of the year.
