Starting January 2021, Danville Public Library and Danville Public Schools put into effect the Student Access Program they developed to give all students, faculty, and staff associated with the school system access to materials, online databases, and streaming services.

Students of Danville City public schools wishing to use their school ID to check out materials may also place items on hold from the public library and those materials will be delivered by library staff to their school library for pickup. Items may also be returned to their school library.

Cards

Students, teachers, and faculty of Danville Public Schools can use their computer login to access in-house and online library materials.

Books

Books can be placed on hold, delivered, and returned to the students' school.

Resources

With their student ID #, students, teachers, and faculty can not only check out books, but also access all library e-resources including e-books, audiobooks, movies, music, and more

The program also gives students, teachers, and faculty access to all Danville Public Library online databases and streaming services including the Hoopla and Libby apps.
