The Municipal Building and all other city of Danville administrative offices will be closed on Wednesday, Dec. 24, and Thursday, Dec. 25, in observance of the Christmas holiday.
In addition, the public library will be closed on both days. Danville Transit will not operate on both days, but Senior Transportation will transport passengers for dialysis on Christmas Eve.
The James F. Ingram Justice Center (courthouse) will be closed Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
The administrative offices and library will reopen on Friday, Dec. 26. Danville Transit services will resume that day as well. The courthouse reopens on Monday, Dec. 29.
Household refuse collection and yard waste collection scheduled for Thursday will be collected on Saturday. Residents who regularly have Wednesday pickup will see no change in collections, with pickups remaining on that day as normally scheduled.
Danville Utilities workers will answer emergency calls and restore service as needed on Wednesday and Thursday. The water and wastewater treatment plants will be staffed and operated as usual.
