The Municipal Building and all other city of Danville administrative offices will be closed on Thursday, Jan. 1, in observance of the New Year’s Day holiday.
In addition, the public library will be closed. Danville Transit will not operate.
The James F. Ingram Justice Center (courthouse) will close at noon Wednesday and the full day on Thursday and Friday.
The administrative offices and library will reopen on Friday, Jan. 2. Danville Transit services will resume that day as well. The courthouse reopens Monday, Jan. 5.
Household refuse collection and yard waste collection scheduled for Thursday will be collected on Saturday, Jan. 3. This change also includes loose leaves and curbside recycling.
Danville Utilities workers will answer emergency calls and restore service as needed on Thursday. The water and wastewater treatment plants will be staffed and operated as usual.
