[ARCHIVED] Music on Main concert series returns April 16

Danville Parks and Recreation’s Music on Main Concert Series, presented by Danville Regional Medical Center, will return to the River District at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 16 with Jus’ Cauz Bluegrass Band.

Jus’ Cauz, a Danville-based quintet, was named 2012 Best Bluegrass Band in Virginia featuring a blend of tight harmonies and skillful musicianship.

The concert is free and will be held at Main Street Plaza at 111 Main Street. The public is encouraged to bring a lawn chair or blanket.

Other shows in the series include:

• Les Moore Trio on May 21 singing soul, blues and jazz
• Lawyers, Guns and Money on June 18 singing blues, R&B and rock and roll
• West End Mambo on July 16 singing classic salsa and latin jazz
• Emily Minor on Aug. 20 singing country and rock and roll

All shows will be held at 6:30 p.m. In case of bad weather, shows will be relocated to the Community Market at 629 Craghead Street.

The first show of the series is partially funded by a Community Foundation Morotock Grant.
