The Danville United Community Relations Coalition has moved the location of its Thursday, Aug. 13, special meeting to First Baptist Church, which is located at 871 Main St.
The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. and is being held to elect a chairman and vice chairman. To nominate a candidate for office, please visit www.danvilleunited.org. Nominations also can be made from the floor at the meeting.
Danville United provides a means for networking, information sharing and strategy development to make Danville a more tolerant, friendly and welcoming community to all regardless of race, gender, religion, creed, ethnicity, nationality or economic status.
The Rev. Ron Johnson, pastor at Holbrook Presbyterian Church in Danville, serves as chairman of Danville United. The Rev. John Carroll, pastor at First Baptist, is the vice chairman.
