The Danville Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire at 2278 Robinhood Dr at 01:59 am. Crews from the airport station, headquarters, and Industrial Avenue responded with three engines a ladder truck a command unit and a safety officer. Upon arrival units found a single story ranch style residence with heavy smoke coming from the structure. All occupants were out of the structure and accounted for. Engine crews made entry to the structure and attacked the fire while the ladder crew searched the structure to verify that no one else was in the structure. Fire damage to the structure was confined to the kitchen area with smoke and heat damage sustained throughout the structure. Seven people were displaced by the fire including three adults and four children. The American Red Cross assisted with providing shelter for the occupants. The cause of the fire was determined to be unattended cooking. No injuries were reported.
