The Artisan Expo, which features local artisans demonstrating their crafts as well as selling the goods they make, will return for its second season on Saturday, June 11, at the Community Market.
The event will be held from 7:30 a.m. to noon in the community room of the Community Market. Admission is free.
Among the artisans demonstrating their crafts will be a potter, spinner, basket weaver, soap maker, painter, jewelry maker and paper quiller.
“Being able to see things like the pottery being formed on the wheel and the process of making soap proved to be very popular with customers last year,” said Kenneth Porzio, Crossing at the Dan coordinator for Danville Parks & Recreation. “We will have most of the artisans from last year back, as well as some great new additions.”
The event is being held in conjunction with the Farmers' market, which is open every Saturday through October from 7:30 a.m. to noon.
