Beginning Wednesday, June 22, the City of Danville will close portions of Lynn and Deboe streets to allow for excavation of manholes and installation of electric distribution vaults. The work is scheduled for two days, with completion on Thursday, June 23.
During construction, Lynn Street will be closed from Shelton Street to Deboe Street. In addition, Deboe Street will be closed from Lynn Street to Craghead Street.
Lynn Street will be reopened to through traffic overnight Wednesday, but Deboe Street will remain closed until construction is completed Thursday.
Construction will begin at 7 a.m. Wednesday.
Detour signs will be in place to redirect traffic. Motorists are urged to slow down when approaching this area and be alert to altered traffic patterns or consider an alternate route.
