Danville Harvest Jubilee will continue its River District Fridays music series on Friday, July 1, with the band Liquid Pleasure playing a mix of dance, pop, R&B and rock music.
The series, formerly known as Fridays at the Crossing, will take place in the Community Market parking lot at 629 Craghead Street. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. for all shows and tickets cost $5 on site. Happy hour specials will run from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. No outside food or beverages allowed.
The Chapel Hill, N.C.-based band is led by Kenny Mann, who also plays keyboards and all the horn parts. He is a founding member of the group, which has performed all across the USA from San Francisco to New York City. Over the years, the band has appeared with such notable artists as Paula Abdul, The Temptations, Whitney Houston, The Four Tops, Stacy LL Cool J, Aretha Franklin and Jeffery Osborne.
This week’s concert is one of three remaining River District Fridays events scheduled this summer. Here is the schedule for the final three concerts in the series:
