The Industrial Development Authority has announced that the crushed brick at the former Schoolfield site of Dan River mills is now available to contractors and residents.
The crushed brick is free, and there is no limit in the amount that can be taken. However, interested parties must provide their own loader, and they must schedule pickup through the Public Works Department.
