Danville Fire Department units responded to a reported structure fire in the area of Glen Oak Drive. Upon arrival the first arriving Engine found a single story residence with heavy fire showing at 81 Glen Oak Dr. Three engines, one ladder truck, three support vehicles and the Assistant Fire Marshal responded to the call. DFD units were assisted by Danville PD and Regional One EMS. There was heavy smoke and fire damage to the home rendering it untenable. The fire was under control within the first hour of arrival. Units were on the scene approximately 4 hours mitigating the incident. There was no one home at the time and there were no injuries reported at the time of this report. The fire is under investigation by the Fire Marshal’s Office.
