RADIO CONTROL TANK BATTLES

AVERETT UNIVERSITY FOOTBALL

In their home finale of the season, the Averett University Cougars will host USA South Conference foe Huntingdon College Hawks. The Cougars are 3-2 in the conference and 4-4 overall following a 14-3 loss last week against Ferrum College. On a five-game winning streak, Huntingdon enters the game with records of 5-1 in the conference and 8-1 overall following a 28-24 win last week over Maryville College. The game will feature Senior Day and Military Appreciation activities. Retired Sgt. First Class Dana Bowman will parachute into Saturday’s football game prior to kick-off to deliver the game ball. Bowman is a retired first class sergeant with the U.S. Army, where he was a special forces soldier and a member of the U.S. Army’s elite parachute team, the Golden Knights.
