The Danville Police Department is reminding citizens to please secure your personal firearms.
Over the past 3 months there have been 32 firearms reported stolen in the city of Danville. The majority of these weapons were stolen from vehicles or residential burglaries.
This number includes 9 firearms stolen from vehicles during the month of November.
If you own a firearm please refrain from leaving it unattended inside of a vehicle. It is also recommended all firearms be stored and secured properly and safely inside of a residence.
Please work with the Danville Police Department while we continue to strive to make our communities safer for ourselves and our children.
