These fires must be a minimum of 25 feet from any structure and provisions shall be made to prevent the fire from spreading to within 25 feet of any structure. In approved containers, the distance is reduced to 15 feet.
  • For leaves, tree, yard, and garden trimmings, the burning must take place on private property. Burning must not be within 300 feet from any building UNLESS the occupants have given written permission (other than a building located on the property on which the burning is conducted).
