With New Year’s Day falling on Sunday, the Municipal Building, all other City of Danville administrative offices and the public library will close in observance of the holiday on Monday, Jan. 2.
The James F. Ingram Justice Center (courthouse) also will close Monday for the holiday.
Household refuse and yard waste will see no change in collections, with pickup remaining on the regular Monday-Friday schedule.
Danville Transit will operate on Saturday, Dec. 31, but not on Monday, Jan. 2. Senior Transportation Services will transport dialysis patients to and from the dialysis clinic on Monday, Jan. 2.
Danville Utilities workers will answer emergency calls and restore service as needed over the Christmas and New Year’s holidays.
Danville Regional Airport will remain open for the holiday.
The Municipal Building and all other administrative offices, the library and the courthouse will reopen on Tuesday, Jan. 3. City Council will meet that night.
