[ARCHIVED] City releases schedule for Martin Luther King Jr. Day

The Municipal Building and all other city of Danville administrative offices will be closed on Monday, Jan. 16, in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

In addition, the public library will be closed.

Danville Transit will not operate, but Senior Transportation Services will transport dialysis patients to and from the dialysis clinic from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday.

The James F. Ingram Justice Center (courthouse) will close Friday, Jan. 13, in observance of Robert E. Lee and Thomas “Stonewall” Jackson Day, and will close on Monday, Jan. 16, for Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

Household trash and yard waste will be collected on Monday as regularly scheduled.

Danville Utilities workers will answer emergency calls and restore service as needed on Monday. The water and wastewater treatment plants will be staffed and operated as usual.

The administrative offices, library and courthouse will reopen on Tuesday, Jan. 17. Danville Transit services will resume that day as well.
