Tickets are on sale for Danville Harvest Jubilee’s first show in the Summer Concert Series, which will feature Old Dominion.

The band will perform live at the Carrington Pavilion on Saturday, June 3. Tickets are $40 for reserved seating, $35 for obstructed views and $25 for lawn seating. They can be purchased online at www.DanvilleHarvestJubilee.org, in person at the Danville Welcome Center or by calling (434) 793-4636.

The five-piece band includes four Virginians: lead singer Matt Ramsey, lead guitarist Brad Tursi, bassist Geoff Sprung and drummer Whitt Sellers. Ramsey and Sellers are from the Roanoke area. “Old Dominion” was chosen as the name of the band because of the band members’ links to Virginia. Detroit’s Trevor Rosen joins them on guitar and keyboards.

Ramsey, Rosen and Tursi are songwriters. Their songs have been tracked by the Band Perry, Keith Urban, Luke Bryan, Dierks Bentley, Chris Young and Chris Morgan.

Old Dominion blends country music with rock instrumentations while tossing in pop overtones and some hip-hop nuances. The band released a self-titled debut EP in the fall of 2014. The single “Break Up with Him” became the band’s first hit song. In 2015, the band signed a record deal with RCA Nashville. Also that year, the band opened to Kenny Chesney in his “Big Revival Tour,” and it released its debut studio album “Meat & Candy.” The album includes “Break Up with Him,” “Snapback” and “Song for Another Time.”

The band has won several awards, including ACM New Group of the Year and ACCA Breakthrough Group of the year. Its most recent release is the “No Such Thing As A Broken Heart, the leads single from the band’s sophomore album.
