[ARCHIVED] Meeting set on biking, walking in River District

Reimagine That logo - water tower

A community meeting will be held from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 11, at the Pepsi Building as part of a River District bicycle and pedestrian study. Learn about the study, review draft recommendations and share improvement ideas.

The West Piedmont Planning District, Danville Urbanized Area Metropolitan Planning Organization and the City of Danville are sponsoring the study. The purpose of this study is to identify strategic improvements and programs that will make it safer and easier for bicyclists and pedestrians to travel in and through the River District, with a special focus on enhanced accessibility to major downtown destinations and the Riverwalk Trail.

The meeting will be conducted in an open house format. The Pepsi Building is located at 661 Craghead St.
