Author Cindy Unwin will be in Danville this weekend to promote “Dan River Twins,” the fictional tale of two young otters on the Dan River.
Danville Public Library will host Unwin from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 29. During the event, book lovers can hear from the author about her experiences writing the children’s book, have their copy signed and take a photo with a unique character-themed background. Unwin will also have a book signing at Karen’s Hallmark in Danville Mall from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.

“Dan River Twins” is a children’s book commissioned by Danville Parks and Recreation and Danville Public Library that follows otters Danny and Mist who are competing in the Otter Frolics games in and along the banks of the Dan River. The book was given to all fourth grade students in Danville Public Schools and focuses on SOL curriculum.
