The Danville Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire at 909 Paxton Street this evening at 11:14 pm. Crews arrived at 11:17 pm and found heavy fire showing from the windows on the second story and attic area of a large two story house. The house was determined to be vacant. Engine 1’s crew pulled an attack line and began defensive operations for extinguishment. An additional attack line was pulled by Engine 3’s crew for extinguishment and to protect the adjacent house.
