The Danville Fire Department responded to a residential structure fire at 710 Dame Street at 11:57 pm Sunday night May 14, 2017. First arriving units reported heavy fire and smoke coming from the one story structure. Engine One made an interior fire attack using a 1 3/4 attack line while fire department members from Ladder One searched the structure for victims. No victims were found and all occupant were accounted for outside the structure. Two other fire engines provided support for firefighting operations for a total of 15 personnel on scene including 2 other support vehicles. The Danville Police Department along with the Danville Life Saving Crew also provided support. The fire was under control 12:17 am. The structure suffered heavy fire and smoke damage. A total of 3 occupants were displaced and were assisted by the Red Cross with temporary housing. No injuries were reported on the scene. The fire was incendiary in nature and is under investigation by the Fire Marshal’s office.
