Danville Parks and Recreation, in partnership with the River District Association, recently launched a new marketing effort promoting holiday events in Danville called December on the Dan. The event listing will appear in various advertising venues and on social media.
“I’m very excited about this partnership,” said Diana Schwartz, River District Association executive director. “There are so many great events in the River District and beyond this holiday season. We hope December on the Dan will help the community in planning their holiday activities and will add to their enjoyment of the season.”
In print, the listing focuses mainly on events hosted by Parks and Recreation, RDA, River District, and Community Partner Agencies. On social media, the listing includes events throughout the community.
“You would be hard pressed to find a weekend in December that doesn’t have an opportunity to celebrate the season,” said Bill Sgrinia, Parks and Recreation. “The holidays can be a very busy time; we want to make sure everyone takes a few minutes to slow down and enjoy themselves and make a few new memories with their friends and families.”
