At approximately 5:00pm on 04-19-2011 Officers were called to a residence in the 100 block of Motley Ave in reference to a robbery, abduction, and malicious wounding. Three victims, ages 18, 13, and 13, were at a residence in the 100 block of Motley Ave. when two black male suspects forced their way into the home at gunpoint. The two suspects held the victims at gunpoint, and physically assaulted the 18-year-old victim with the handgun causing multiple wounds to the victim’s head and torso. The suspects robbed the victims of personal items and cash before fleeing the scene on foot.
During the course of the investigation, 20-year-old, Demetric Markie Venable and 18-year-old Roy Lee Ferrell, were developed as suspects. Demetric Venable, of Danville, was apprehended and charged with 3 counts of abduction, 1 count of malicious wounding and 1 count of robbery. Venable is currently in the Danville City Jail being held under no bond.
Roy Lee Ferrell, of Danville, is currently wanted for 3 counts of abduction, 1 count of malicious wounding and 1 count of robbery. Mr. Ferrell should be considered armed and dangerous.
The Investigation by the Danville Police Department is continuing.
