[ARCHIVED] Riverside Drive paving temporarily halted

Rock work sign

Milling and paving on the westbound lanes of Riverside Drive has been halted. All lanes are now open except for a milled lane from Camelot Court in front of Riverside Health & Rehabilitation Center to Central Boulevard. The milled lane will remain closed to traffic until it can be paved.

The intersection at Riverside Drive and Piney Forest Road is open, but motorists should slow down as they cross the intersection because the milling has created uneven pavement.

Weather permitting, the milled section will be paved Tuesday afternoon.

Milling and paving on the remainder of the project will resume on Thursday, weather permitting. When work resumes, it will require alternating lane closures of the westbound lanes of Riverside Drive from Camelot Court in front of Riverside Health & Rehabilitation Center to Westover Drive.
