The Danville Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire this morning at 4:36 am. Crews arrived to find a single story residential structure with fire showing from the left rear side of the house. Crews were able to quickly assure that everyone was out of the structure. Fire crews made entry into the structure and were able to bring the fire under control in approximately ten minutes. Damage from the fire was contained to the left rear of the structure with smoke damage throughout the residence. Three occupants were displaced to another location. The cause of the fire was determined to be arson by the Fire Marshall. and is still under investigation. Three engines, one ladder truck, a safety officer and a chief officer responded along with the fire marshal, Danville Police Department and the life saving crew. Units were on scene for an hour and a half.
