The DFD responded to a reported explosion in a chemistry
lab at Averett University. When units arrived they found that a piece of
laboratory glassware that had shattered due to heat. Glass fragments caused
some minor cuts to some students. One student was taken to SOVAH Health as a
precaution. There was no damage to the lab. No chemicals were involved in the
incident.
