The City of Danville is still seeking qualified vendors and tradesmen to participate in a home maintenance and landscaping expo scheduled from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, May 5, at the Community Market.
This expo will kick off the annual Make Danville Shine campaign, which is a month-long initiative to encourage residents to clean-up, paint-up and fix-up their property.
“This is our sixth year of encouraging residents and neighborhood groups to fix—up, clean-up and paint-up their homes and neighborhoods,” said Jerry Rigney, director of inspections for the City of Danville’s Community Development Department. “Once again, the home expo will be held in conjunction with the opening of the Farmers’ Market, so vendors will be able to get face-to-face with hundreds of potential customers.”
In addition to reaching potential clients in one central location, the expo will be an opportunity to gain valuable exposure, positive publicity and community goodwill through this high profile event.
Space for vendors will be provided free of charge.
The City welcomes experts in the areas of landscaping, pest control, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, painting, roofing, siding, masonry, and more. Financial institutions, service representatives and general home contractors also are needed.
Business and individuals interested in participating can reserve a booth at www.makedanvilleshine.com.
