Danville Fire Department received a call for a possible structure fire at 341 Wendall Scott Drive today at 5:30pm. The department responded with 3 Engines, 1 Ladder truck and 3 support vehicles. On scene, the first arriving unit reported light smoke coming from the roof of the residence. Upon investigation this was found to be an electrical panel box with fire showing. The fire was quickly extinguished by fire department personnel with a water extinguisher but the residence had moderate smoke damage. No injuries were reported and the Red Cross was notified for the displaced occupants. Danville Fire Department units were on scene for more than a hour. Danville Police, Danville Utilities, and Danville Life Saving Crew assisted the Fire department with this incident.
