At approximately 6:05 p.m., the Danville Fire Department responded to a reported vehicle fire located at 112 Parkway Drive. After initial dispatch, the assignment was upgraded to a full structural response because the vehicles on fire were threatening a structure. The first engine arrived to find two vehicles on fire as well as the home the vehicles were next to. The initial engine company was able to quickly extinguish the fire limiting the damage to the home. The home suffered only minor damage, but both vehicles suffered heavy damage. There were no injuries caused at this incident and the occupants were able to return to their home at the conclusion of the incident. The Danville Fire Department responded 15 personnel with three engines, one ladder truck, one safety officer, and one command vehicle. The Danville Life Saving Crew was on the scene with an ambulance and two personnel as well as the Danville Police Department.
