The Danville Public Library will modify the Saturday and Wednesday service hours at its main building on Patton Street. The new hours begin Saturday, July 7.
Saturday’s service hours are being shifted an hour in order to meet the growing demand to be open later in the afternoon. The new hours will be from 10 a.m.to 2 p.m. With the change to Saturday’s service hours, the library also will be opening every day at 10 a.m., which will make it easier to remember.
The changes also provide an additional hour on Wednesday evenings and allows the library to make service hours more consistent.
Below are the service hours for the main library and the Westover branch.
Main Library
Monday through Wednesday 10 AM – 7 PM
Thursday 10 AM – 8 PM
Friday 10 AM – 5 PM
Saturday 10 AM – 2 PM
Westover Branch Library
Monday through Thursday 10 AM – 6 PM
Friday 10 AM – 5 PM
Closed daily for lunch 1:30 PM – 2:00 PM
