Danville Fire Department responded to a structure fire at 614 Franklin St just before 11pm. Units arrived on scene to find a single story residence with heavy smoke showing from all sides. All occupants were out of the structure and accounted for upon fire department arrival. Crews were able to make an interior attack and extinguish the fire in approximately 10 minutes. Damage to the structure was moderate, and two adult occupants were displaced and are staying with family. Three engines, one ladder truck a safety officer and a chief officer responded. Units were on scene for approximately an hour and a half. No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire appears accidental but is still under investigation.
