[ARCHIVED] Free, outdoor concert will feature jazz music

Danville Parks and Recreation’s Music on Main concert series will continue in the River District at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 12, with the jazz sound of Small Town Orchestra.

Sponsored by Cardiology Consultants of Danville, the concert is free and will be held at Main Street Plaza at 111 Main St. Bring a lawn chair or blanket.

In case of rain, the concert will be moved to the Carrington Pavilion at 629 Craghead St.

The Music on Main series is in its fifth year and takes place on the second and fourth Thursday of the month June through August. All shows start at 6:30 p.m. and are held at the Main Street Plaza.

The remaining shows in the series are:

  • July 26 – Wayne Euliss; Elvis tribute
  • August 9 – New Habit Band; bluegrass
  • August 23 – Johnny-O and the Jump Out Boys; old school Chicago blues.
