The Danville Fire Department responded to a report of a structure fire involving a mobile home at 180 Lamberth Drive Lot 23 on 7-14-2018 at 11:39 Pm. Three Engines, one Ladder, one command vehicle, and a safety officer were originally assigned to this location with a total of 12 firefighters on scene. First arriving units found the underneath of the structure well involved with fire and smoke. Fire crews were able to quickly extinguish the bulk of the fire. The mobile home was under going renovations and was unoccupied at that time. Danville Life Saving Crew assisted along with Danville Utilities and the Danville Police Department. The Fire Marshall investigated and ruled the fire was a result of an electrical short. Fire crews remained on scene for approximately three and a half hours as the fire required extensive work to fully extinguish under the flooring. The home was declared a total loss.
