Danville Utilities invites customers to explore its newly redesigned website — danvilleutilities.com. The mobile friendly website serves as a one-stop shop for all information regarding electric, natural gas and water services.
This information includes rates; starting, transferring or stopping service; bill payment; guidance on ways to save money; and details on rebate and energy assistance programs.
“As before, our customers can access their personal accounts from the website to track their utility consumption, view their bills and make payments,” Utilities Director Jason Grey said. “The power outage map also remains a key feature. The map provides real-time information about power outages that customers have reported by calling our emergency hotline.”
The new website format was created based on best in class features and design. Customers will be able to easily navigate to areas of interest.
Customers also are invited to visit Danville Utilities’ new Facebook page — www.facebook.com/DanvilleUtilities/ — as part of its ongoing effort to enhance communications with customers.
“Postings on the new Facebook page will act as a supplement to, not a replacement for, our website, bill inserts and other means of outreach,” Grey said. “However, we recognize that many people use social media to gather information, so this will be an opportunity to connect with people that we otherwise might not reach.”
Posts will be kept updated as staff time allows.
